In the medium to long term, the global PCB industry continues to show a steady growth trend with a CAGR of 5.4% from 2023 to 2028. It is predicted that by 2028, the global PCB production value is estimated to reach 90,413 million U.S. dollars.

China will continue to dominate PCB manufacturing, according to Prismark, which forecasts that China's PCB market will be worth $39.791 billion in 2024, a 5.3% year-on-year increase, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.2% from 2023 to 2028, which is slightly slower than the global growth rate. According to Prismark, it is expected that 18+ layer multilayer boards and HDI will see considerable growth of 21.1% and 10.4%, respectively, in 2024, driven by downstream sectors such as AI, automotive, and networking. In the medium to long term, high multilayer boards above 18 layers, packaging substrates and HDI will still be driven by AI-related industries, with CAGRs of 10.0%, 8.8% and 7.1% from 2023-2028, respectively, which are higher than the average growth rate.
